Click.to is a neat little Windows tool that just added support for Toodledo. With this, you can select any text in any window on your computer and instantly turn it into a task on Toodledo.
Check it out: http://www.toodledo.com/tools/directory_item.php?appid=clicktoapp |

When I try it, it is telling me invalid user or password. Do I have to enter that somewhere?

Yes you need to enter your Toodledo account info. Please contact Click.to for instructions/assistance if you have trouble setting this up.

Very cool utility. I think I'll keep it with or without the Toodledo capability. My concern is with password security. Are there technical reasons you are aware of why the Toodledo Click.to action requires a password, vs the Gmail action which doesn't?
The Gmail action only works when you are logged in, whereas Toodledo requires a userID/password and it opens an un-encrypted Toodledo page to boot. |

Very good point JPR.

I could not get it to work so I went to my toodledo, copied my toodledo logged in url and put it in the click.to "window action". Works every time.

Careful with this one. It seemed to conflict, temporarily, with roboform, maybe a bad install because the uninstall button that is supposed to be in the "add and remove programs"
has never appeared, necessitating contacting them, but their server is down at the moment so I am stuck. I'm sure it will all work out, but did I really need the hassle this morning? No |

Hi everybody!
Here is a link to the instructions how to use Toodledo with Click.to. => http://www.clicktoapp.com/add-web-action/toodledo-customization/ The Click.to developers are working currently on a more comfortable way to enter the Toodledo login information. The new Click.to version will released soon. :) This message was edited Sep 28, 2011. |

Slick. I didn't have a problem following your Toodledo directions and everything worked as advertised. My issue is the website call sends the password through your http (not https) website, and you store the Toodledo password un-encrypted on my computer. All of that is probably OK as long as I trust you, and I keep my PC relatively secure. My real question is: Why do you need the Toodledo ID and password to begin with? The GMail action works great. I don't have to give you my Gmail password, and it only works when I am logged in to Gmail. This message was edited Sep 28, 2011. |

Clickto and toodledo are working together very well, I can't complain, in the beginning I used clickto mostly with its PDF and facebook/twitter-app.

I need toodledo to stay organised and I like clickto because it's a faster way to work with toodledo. What I like the most is that my login data is saved on my hard drive and not in the cloud.

All of the above assumes that Toodledo is available in the menu. I have the new Mac version and Toodledo doesn't show up.

You can at least call the Toodledo Slim or Toodledo by adding a new web call

Sorry to be so dense, but, what is this supposed to do?
I set it up, I added my Toodledo user name and password. I copied content from an Outlook email, which opened up a string of Click.it icons. I clicked on the Tooledo Icon. Then what is supposed to happen? |

With the default settings, the title of the task will be "Outlook" (or something similar), and the note is the content you copied. You can edit the website call in the Clickto settings, so the copied content is the title or the note. (use the "insert wildcard" link) I used JCarl's excellent suggestion and created a new website call instead, using: https://www.toodledo.com/slim/#_add This way you copy something (a web address for example), hit the Clickto icon, and a default new task appears. I then paste into the note or title as I see fit. |

Hi, if clickto does not work with toodledo you should take a look at teh FAQ's on the clickto page.
They explain how to set it up correctly: http://www.clicktoapp.com/faq/faq-toodledo/ |

Really cool. And really useful!

I just wanted to update this to let people know that the Click. To app has been updated for the Mac, so that Mac users can now use it with Toodledo. It is probably the quickest way to add a task to Toodledo if you don't have the browser open.

Seems to open a new toodledo tab each time I add to todo. Used it 4 times, now i have 4 sessions of toodledo open.
