Sub task badge

I have a task with 5 sub tasks. it repeats daily. I mark them all done, and the next day it shows 5 sub tasks like it should be the sub task badge reads 10. the day after it shows 5 sub tasks as they were again done, but now the badge reads 15.
why is this?

It is counting the completed subtasks as well. I will look into a way to suppress this.
