how do I make a task optional

can someone please tell me how to make a task optional..I can't find it..I have a pro-subscripion. Thanks.

Set the task Due Date value to 'Optional on'. If not completed by the date entered, the task goes away. If the task is repeated it will carry forward. Also, for repeating tasks, if they are not completed, they don't show up as Overdue.

You can choose this from the menu that appears to the left of the due-date when editing the due-date.
