Is there a way to mark a task as today and have that task automatically updated to today again tomorrow? The effect of this would be that the task always has a due date of today.

Create a task that is due today, use the date modifier "Optionally on", and set Repeat to "Daily".
It will automatically be moved to tomorrow (with a Due Date equal to tomorrow's date) if you don't complete the task today. See Date Modifiers: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=42, and Repeating Tasks: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=2 This message was edited Sep 06, 2011. |

Or simply put it as a "Next Action" (a GTD term). In that case, make sure to include next actions in your hotlist. That is what i do. I normally use Status as my first sorting order, and I also include everything that is due already, so whether the tasks has a date or not, all of these items will come up on my "today" list.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give each of those solutions a try.

Creating the task as optionally on and setting repeat to daily did exactly what I needed. Thanks again for the help.
