What is the difference between viewing history of completed tasks and retention of completed tasks? Thanks.

Retention means how long we keep the task before automatically deleting it. If you have a free account you can only view the last week of this, but the data is still there in case you upgrade to a Pro account, then you can view the entire history.

OK. So history is like a report? And for any free account, even if tasks are retained, no history report will ever show more than one week with the free version. Correct? Thanks.
