Sub-subtasks

I can see the need for sub-subtasks. My best example is grocery lists. While its handy to add everything in advance and then check them as you get them, sadly that does not scale.
If there were sub-subtasks you could break out your list based upon category, like produce, meats, dairy etc. Granted you can most likely accomplish the same with filters in the WebUI I couldn't find a good way to do this in the iOS app. That being said, there needs to be better (additional) display options for subtasks in the iOS app as well. |

There have been several requests for more than one level of subtasks. For example, here is a request from September 2009: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/3348/-17956/sub-tasks-nested-with-multiple-levels.html
And here's one from October 2010: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/8119/-41741/read.html There is no indication from Toodledo that this feature will ever be implemented. |

Well it sounds to me like this is something that users want, and would set them just that much more apart than the rest. Just one (maybe 2) more columns in a database cant be too terribly difficult. Especially considering all previous entries dont even need any data in them.

I don't know that I would use Toodledo for a grocery list when there are apps like Cozi that are actually meant to be grocery lists. They allow collaboration for free and, while their to-do list sucks, the journal, shopping lists and calenders are great.
I might put "grocery store" on my Toodledo list, but not the items I'm buying. If I did, they'd be in notes, not as individual tasks. |

My wife and I have been using an excellent app for sharing grocery lists. Its called Ourgroceries which is free and on BB, iOS, and Android. It is free or there is an ad free version you can pay for (I don't think there is a functionality difference). VERY simple and haven't had a problem with it in a year of using (we use all 3 platforms).
