I'm still confused about my choices for backing up TD.
All I want is to be able to easily recreate my TD files, completely and easily should I ever need to. Under import/export tools there's a recommended backup, 'XML Import / Export' that gives me a 3.9mg file. But there's also another 'backup and restore' tool that gives me a 5mg file. Whats the difference? |

Use the backup/restore. It was designed for backing up and restoring your account and includes lots more data. The XML export only exports task data and was designed to be for exchanging data with external applications.
I see that our page still says that the XML option is the best way to backup your data. I will get this fixed. I forgot to update this text when we added the backup/restore tool. This message was edited Mar 07, 2012. |
