Hi :) As great as TDL is, it sure does not have a great search engine for it's help or forums, AFAICS. Anyway, I've searched, and am sure this has been asked a million times, but no joy.
Question: How to make a new subtask automatically take on the field properties I had set on the parent? Thanks for your time, Chris |

Which field properties are not being inherited by the subtask?
A subtask will inherit the Folder and Context of the parent. Search for the Questions forum for "subtask inherit" and you'll get several hits. This message was edited May 28, 2012. |

Ah, that's the ticket!!!
Thanks JPR. I forgot about this setting, which was introduced on September 23, 2010. The Help topic Explanation of Subtasks does not mention inherited attributes. This message was edited May 29, 2012. |
