The ability to temporarily hide checked items would be nice. I would like to keep the checked items but hide them from view.

You can do this. Click on the "Show" button in the blue toolbar above your list and hide completed tasks.

I did not mean the tasks list, but for outlines. There's a blue toolbar for Outlines which contains: collapse, check all, & delete checked. I would like a "hide checked" option too.
