I have a list I've been using for a number of months with 6 fields (columns). Now I want to remove/delete one of these fields. Is there a way to do this, other than creating a new list without that field?

You click on the down-arrow at the top right of the column, click on Edit Column, then click on Delete at the bottom of the menu.
