Android app is not taking my timezone into account

I assume this is a timezone issue, as I am in UTC +13. It works fine on my jellybean android and I have set up the timezone correctly on the website. I can't find any setting on the app to change the timezone but maybe there is one? I'm sure you can appreciate how incredibly frustrating this is.
