Notes field expands

Hi
Recently, whenever I go to my task list (I have set them as a grid view). The notes field expands, which does not allow mw to view the full list properly, I then have to manually short them by clicking on notes icon.
It used to be fine before? Have I done something in my settings by mistake? Can someone please help as it is really annoying.

In the action menu on the right side of the blue toolbar above your list, click 'show task details' to toggle this setting off.
