Can you give some explanations for this? Yes currently it does not seem to work for me.

Currently you need to choose if you want the app or the website to send the alarms.
The app is a better choice if you need alarms to work when you don't have an internet connection. But, the app has to know about the task, which means it has to sync with the website if you add a task on the website. In other words if you add a task on the website and give it an alarm, the app won't know about it until you sync.
If you use the app infrequently then having alarms come from the website is a better choice since the website has the most up to date information. However, the drawback is that if your phone doesn't have an internet connection at the time of the alarm, the website wont be able to connect to your phone and tell it to beep.
