Folder order in drop downs does not match alphabetical order

When adding folders you have the option to reorder alphabetically OR manually arrange. However, when accessing folders through a drop down (to go from an unassigned to an assigned folder in an existing task) the order appears random. How can I get them to line up alphabetically?
