Old taks reappear

This morning I logged in and had a bunch of deadlines from 2017. Scrolling though my task list it looks like a lot of old tasks have re-appeared. anyone have this problem? Solutions other than re-doing the list?

It only appears to happen in the new layout. I generally use that format and haven't had this happen before. Also I do not have completed tasks turned on.
