What would be the simplest way to create a list from my entire task list that highlights those I've chosen to do today? I can think of a few ways - create a folder perhaps. But is there a faster way I'm not aware of, perhaps a way to drag and drop? Thanks.

My suggestion would be to use the "star" that was designed for this purpose. You could also set a due-date and use the "today" tab.
