Sync problems with iphone

I had been using Toodledo for a while and hadn't realized that I wasn't actually logged into my account or sync'ing with my online version. So I logged in from my phone a few minutes ago and pressed SYNC, only to see that every single task in every folder is gone. It also doesn't match the contents in the online account either, even though both were logged in using the same email address (and I assume the same password, since it was auto-saved on my computer).
What happened and is there a way to recover the tasks on my phone?
