iPhone 8, Top Task Search Result Hidden Under Gray Search Bar

When searching tasks on my iPhone 8, the top search result is hidden under the double-wide gray search bar. I can drag the results down, to see it, but then can't check or uncheck it. Is this a bug or something I can modify in settings somewhere? Thanks.
