Alphabetical order issue

I am currently having an issue where I label each task "1. Dance" "7. Watch TV" "17. Mow The Lawn" however due to some formating issue sorting will put 17 before 7 unless I put a 07 instead. It is a small issue considering that there is a workaround but it would be nice for the system to recognise that 7 comes before 17.

What you are asking for is not possible. The text field allows you to enter any character, but it has no way of knowing you intend a 7 to be a number rather than a character. You've already discovered the workaround, which is to add a leading 0.
