Shouldn't tasks added via "Add Subtask" inherit?

Hey all,
Here's what I did: 1. entered a task, specifying the folder, context, goal, etc 2. entered a sub-task using the web interface's "Add Subtask" button. I've noticed that the folder, context, goal, etc are empty. This seems strange to me. Wouldn't it make sense for sub-tasks to "inherit" the folder, context, goal etc from the parent task? Is this something I can turn on via a configuration setting somewhere? Thanks, Grant |

This isn't currently possible, but it's on our to-do list.

Great! This would make the subtasks even much more useful than they already are. Peter

Please make subtasks instantly viewable when clicking on the parent too! It doesn't make much sense to view the details for the parent task.

Definitely need to have subtasks inherit! Particularly goals.

They do now. You have to tell TD that's what you want in the Settings screen, under the Subtasks option, about halfway down the list is "Newly added subtasks default to parent's attributes".
