I've created a greasemonkey script to allow for favoriting. This allows you to have links to any tab (whether it be in folders, context, search or any of the existing tabs) that are always visible. Check out the script here:

btw, I updated the script, there was an issue where it wouldn't work if you didn't have firebug installed.
