MS Office Pop up on Sync

I disabled the auto sync because every time it ran Outlook popped up a message that says
"A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it maybe a virus, and you should answer no." It then gives me a check box selection to allow access for 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes, and until I make a selection the sync wouldn't take place. Two questions: 1) Why is the Toodledo sync client accessing my email address in my Outlook contacts? 2) Is there a setting somewhere that allows the Toodledo sync client access to Outlook without requiring me to give it explicit permission on every sync? |

Answered in this thread - please ignore the bit about the Micropledge project though.

I have the same problem -- each time toodledo attempts to sync I receive the outlook message -- the link provided does not work.

Add an 'l' to the end of the link making it "html" at the end.
I tried re-posting the full link, but each time it posts it seems to distort it by adding a space. Steve This message was edited Jan 17, 2009. |

Here are the links to the plug ins that fix this problem on Office 2007
http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/security/ http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/ For Outlook 2007 this issue can usually be fixed by installing an up to date anti virus product. I would consider AVG or Avast as decent free products. keef |

I think I might have done something wrong here. I was enduring the pop-up box you are referring to above and getting along with my business, but I think I might have accidentially clicked something on the pop-up box and now it won't sync at all. When i click manual sync it just won't connect. any thoughts?

Hi Joel,
Try disabling the add-in, or uninstalling it. keef |
