Is timezone needed if we always use unix=1?

Since unix timestamps are always in UTC, which is not dependent on timezone, do we even need to care about the timezone delta between the server and the user if we always use the unix=1 setting to retrieve unix timestamps? The Toodledo user time in UTC should be absolute and directly comparable with the server time in UTC (no timezone adjustment necessary), right?

Thanks! That wasn't clear from the API documentation so I just wanted to be sure.
