It would be great if the "addGoal" and "editGoal" API calls could be updated to support contributes, archived and note parameters, same as the toodledo Goal UI.

It does support the "contributes" value. This is documented in the API docs. Thanks for the suggestion about supporting the other values.

The documentation for getGoals doesn't mention the 'note' parameter to be returned. When will this be added to the API?

The goal note is not accessible via the API yet, but we hope to add it in a future update. I don't have an ETA, but it should be in the next API update.
