How long will API 1.0 be available?

Are there plans to discontinue API 1.0? If so, has a date been announced? I'm trying to plan future enhancements and I'd like to know how much time I have available to implement API 2.0.

We plan to discontinue 1.0 but we don't have a date in mind. It will be long enough and we will provide enough warning that every developer will have a chance to migrate. I expect 1.0 to be available at least through the end of 2011, although we may start enforcing tighter rate limitations before then as an encouragement to transition to the much better 2.0.
