Hi Ed,
I’m sorry this didn’t work for you. This issue seems to have been precipitated by Toodledo changing their security protocol. They told me it is affecting other apps on Win7 as well. I’m not part of Toodledo but hopefully they can help. Regards, Andrew |

Hi Ed,
I just found this alternative link for the patch, that still seems to work: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB3042058 Regards, Andrew |

Hi,
Here's a fix for the SSL connection issue. This issue was caused by Toodledo changing their security protocol to one that is not used as standard on Windows 7. Please use Windows Update to apply “Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3042058)”. You can download it from this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3042058/microsoft-security-advisory-update-to-default-cipher-suite-priority-or Please also update TaskAngel to version 3.6 build 3787 or later, from our download page at https://www.taskangel.com/download Let me know if this fixes it for you, or if it doesn't. Thanks, Andrew This message was edited Mar 10, 2020. |

Hi,
Here's an update on the SSL connection issue. Upgrading to the latest version and build of TaskAngel fixes the problem. But only if you have Windows 10. Toodledo is now using tighter security protocols that are not used as standard on Windows 7. I am working with Toodledo to find a workaround. This will require a further update to TaskAngel. I will let you know if we are successful with this. I am hoping to have the fix ready next week. The latest version of TaskAngel is 3.6, build 3740. You can get it from our download page: https://www.taskangel.com/download Thank you for your help and patience. I am sorry for the inconvenience this issue is causing you. Best wishes, Andrew |

Hi,
Thank you for these messages. This fault has been reported to our TaskAngel support page by several customers in the past few days. I see also that on the Toodledo web site a user of gSyncit is also reporting the same error. For some reason, Toodledo is rejecting the connection request. The fact that two different apps are seeing the same error makes me think it must be a Toodledo problem. I haven't been able to reproduce this error myself but thanks to Tek for the information that our latest build of TaskAngel fixed it for you. I will let you know if I discover any more. Thanks, Andrew MyPocketSoft https://www.taskangel.com |

Hi Frogboy,
1. App preferences don't sync via iCloud at present, sorry. 2. You can include emojis in your task titles and notes, and your folder, context and goal names. 3. I am thinking about a Mac version but I also have a lot of requests for Android, so I'm torn. 4. There is also the option to create a cross-platform version using Xamarin but I'm not sure I am prepared to put all my eggs in yet another basket carried by Microsoft! Regards, Andrew |

Hi Frogboy,
TaskAngel uses the standard Apple notification system to remind you when tasks are due. Therefore your task reminders are notified to you just like notifications from any other app. They also appear on your Apple Watch if you have one. We don't have any plans to do a paid-for version. Why is that important for you? Thanks, Andrew TaskAngel Author |

TaskAngel To-Do List works with Toodledo and provides a lot of what you are asking for here. Might be worth a look. Runs on IOS and Windows.

Thanks for your message.
Michael Linenberger’s MYN is an excellent system. Both MYN and GAS address the urgency of your actions and map them to task priorities. The main difference in the Goal Action System is that it is managing the tension between the pull of your goals and the push of your urgent actions for today. I had thought this was enough of a differentiation. However for the avoidance of doubt I have added an acknowledgement to MYN (and GTD) into my post. Thanks again for pointing this out. I have found over the years that my time management methods tend to get more and more complicated over time, until they end up getting in the way and slowing me down.
I have published my much simpler Goal Action System recently. It might help you. It certainly helps me. Read about it here: https://www.taskangel.com/goal-action-system/ Best wishes, Andrew |

Hi,
In TaskAngel I have been using https for pro accounts and http for free accounts. This has been working fine with API2 and API3. When you make your security changes in November, will this still work or do I have to update all my apps? Is there a way of testing it? Thanks, Andrew |

Hi,
You are right, TaskAngel and the Toodledo App are competing for the privilege of helping you manage your time better and syncing with other apps and devices via Toodledo. I'm not supposed to use this forum for selling, but since you asked I may be allowed to point to a few things: 1. It is beautiful. It has the pure native style of an iOS app, with the same familiar house style as other apps you use every day. 2. It is fast. The filters are very responsive, and there are lots of them. And the Recent Filters feature gets you to your favorite task lists even more quickly. 3. TaskAngel is available on iOS, Windows Desktop, Windows Tablet and Windows Phone. 4. We provide excellent support and we are constantly looking for ways to improve TaskAngel to meet your needs. To see for yourself, I recommend you give it a try. Regards, Andrew |
