Hi,
If I subscribe, it it possible to set different alarms? E.g. one alarm 1 hours before, another alarm 4 hours before, and another 12 or 24 hours before?
If yes, which subscription do I need?

I use the Web version (windows) and the Toodledo app for Android. Will the alarms then come to my Android app?

Hi Sam!
I like Toodledo very much, but it’s missing one of the most important features of an app like this: The ability to add a task quickly (without specifying any folders, priority, date etc), AND be able to trust the task doesn’t end up in a wrong folder automatically.

Yes, I know we can specify the default folder, priority etc for new tasks in the settings (“new task defaults”). But unfortunately, this function is NOT RELIABLE! It works sometimes, and sometimes not.

When creating a new task from a specific Folder view (not "all tasks"), the folder of a new task will be the last used folder, and NOT what is chosen in "new task defaults" in settings (which could be “no folder” or the folder “inbox” for new tasks).

When creating a new task from a specific Priority view, the priority of a new task will be the last used priority, and NOT what is chosen in "new task defaults" in settings.

When creating a new task from being in Starred view, the new task will be starred, despite Star is unchecked in "new task defaults" in settings.

The result of this software behaviour may be that our new Work task end up in our private Health folder because we accidentally viewed that last time. It may take several weeks before we check our Health folder again, and then we miss our work task...

As I see, this problem could be solved in at least two ways:
1) Just make the settings in "New task defaults" work consistently.
or
2) In the settings in "New task defaults", please let us decide if we really want those settings to be overruled by the last view (folder "health", priority 3, starred etc)

Would you please fix this to make the app more reliable? (same problem in Android and Web)

Would like the oppurtunity to add new tasks quicker.

This could be done through a new feature in the settings to be able to reorder and/or remove fields in the "ADD TASK" section (the order of these menues: folder, due date, priority, tags etc). (I am just talking about the order in the "ADD TASK" section and not elsewhere.)

Is this possible to fix?

Just to clarify to avoid misunderstandings. I am not talking about column order in general, but the order of the menu choices when clicking "Add task"...

A suggestion to make it quicker to add new tasks on the computer:

1) Please make it possible to adjust the ORDER of the menu choices when adding a new task (folder, context, goal, due date, priority, tag etc).

When having little time it is quicker if my two most important menu choices are placed first. Then I don’t have to use time to think about the other choices before later when I have time for a review.

2) It would also be nice if it could be possible to remove one of the menu choices that I never use when adding a new task. (Yes I know it’s possible to remove it completely in the settings, but I do use the choice, but only through the “multi edit” option, and never when adding a new task).

Is this possible? Thank you for your reply :-)

Desktop version:

I do have a lot of long tasks and I do not want to split them into two separate fields (task field and note field). It’s easier to write the task just one place.

I know about the “multi-line” mode, but i highly prefer the “grid” mode because it’s more organized. To switch between those two modes every time to read long tasks, it’s a bit cumbersome.

Therefore I have some suggestions for enhancements:

1) Make it an option to adjust the column width for the “task column” much more than what is possible today (for big screens it may be convenient to adjust it up to the double compare to what is possible today)

2) When clicking on a task for editing, please make it possible to see the entire task when editing. For long tasks it’s today just possible to see parts of the tasks when editing both in multi-line and grid mode. To edit a task it’s much easier when you see the entire task.

3) When pointing the mouse cursor on a long task to see the whole task, the task is displayed in just 5 seconds before it disappears. For really long tasks with a lot of details i may need to look at it for up to 1-2 minutes while reading and thinking about the task. Then it requires me to put the mouse on and off the tasks for up to 20 times before done reading/thinking. Please drop this 5 seconds time limit! The task will anyway disappear as soon as we move the mouse cursor again.

4) For long tasks, the “Add task” input field for new tasks is a bit short. When finished writing it is not possible to see the entire long task before clicking “Save” (even when in full screen mode). Please make this field a bit longer.

Looking forward to your feedback. Thank you very much :-)

Hi!
1) I would like long tasks to be more easy to read on the computer. Long tasks in the note field are easy to read, but long tasks in the task field are not so available.

If i put the mouse over the task, i've got ca 5 sec to read it all. For really long tasks with a lot of details i may need to look at it for perhaps 1-2 minuts while reading and thinking about the task. Then it requires to put the mouse on and off the tasks for up to 20 times before done reading/thinking!

A solution to this may be to erase the time limit (or at least allow it to last much longer). The text disappears when we move the mouse cursor anyway.

It would also done it much easier to read long tasks if it has been possible to extend the task column width a bit more.

2) When i want to EDIT long tasks, i am not able to see the whole task when editing. (ps: i am NOT talking about text in the note field). Long tasks had been so much easier to edit if i could see the whole task when clicking/dblclicking on the task.

Is it possible to find a solution to these challenges??

Thank you very much for your reply :-)
