I don't intend to ever share my tasks with anyone. I'm a free account user, so I can't share.
The details page: http://www.toodledo.com/info/details.php#folders says:
> You can even designate certain folders as "private". If you choose to share your tasks via the Sharing section, your private folders will remain hidden.
Does marking my folders as "Private" if I don't share my tasks get me any additional security or privacy if I have a free account? Does it have any effect at all?

If you don't have sharing enabled, then the "private" checkbox will have no affect on your account.
