Repeated Tasks

Okay I am sure I am missing something as obvious as the nose on my face but I cannot figure out how to delete and end a repeating task. I know all I need to do to make it go away it check it off but it is annoying and I would like to get rid of the tasks all together as they are not my responsibility anymore.

Option 1: Click the circular gray icon on the left side (to the right of the star) and choose Delete
Option 2: Change the tasks's repeat setting to take aways the repeat altogether. Then just check it off.
