I keep getting a message that a program is trying to access my email addresses and do I wish to allow this every time there is a sync. Is there a way to get rid of this popup?

"In Outlook, you should also disable the security setting in "Tools--> Trust Center--> Programmatic Access" and set the option to "NEVER warn"... Without this, every time ToodledoSync tries to sync you'd get an annoying warning message that a program is trying to access your email."

I'm using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Pro. There doesn't seem to be a "Trust Center" under Tools. I'm imagining that I cannot find it because this is what a person would do in Outlook 2007. Can you point me to the settings appropriate to the 2003 vintage of outlook?

Sorry to ask and answer my own question...
I found this: http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/security/ Apparently these guys have come up with an Outlook add-on that allows you to have more control over the security access granted to external programs such as the Toodledo program. It acts like a firewall of sorts. When an external program tries to access Outlook, you get a pop-up. You can either allow or deny access to Outlook from there. It's quite slick! Hope this helps some of you. Best, WF |
