Attachment icon clutters up Grid view

I find it is cluttering up the Tasks screen (grid view) to have the Attachment icon next to every single task whether or not it has an attachment.
In gmail, for example, the attachment icon shows up only when there's a file attached to an email.
How to remove the attachment icon?

Hello,
The file attachment icon is visible so users can quickly add an attachment to any task. You can't hide it, but it can be switched to the right/left side of the row. However, the task notes icon will be moved as well. You can change this under "display preferences" in your account settings.
