Is it possible to have a default list open when clicking the list tab? What does the checkbox do in lists that have it?

It is not yet possible to open a default list when clicking the list tab, but you could bookmark any list and click the bookmark to go there directly instead of clicking the lists tab.
The checkbox doesn't do anything else except changing state from checked to unchecked as an indicator to yourself.
