Is there any way to do a search for not only my repeating tasks, but only those that repeat "from completion?"

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish & it's not elegant but...
You could search for your tasks that repeat, then hover over the repeat field of each one to see whether it's from completion or due date. At least that way you don't have to edit each one to see which way it repeats.
