Whenever I open Toodledo, subtask are just part of the overall todo list. When I ask them to be grouped, they look great. Why can't I just keep that view as a default. It's a pain to have to keep clicking the "toggle subtasks" link.

What you are seeing is your subtasks flattened. You can go to Filters, and click Nest Subtasks, but the only difference will be that they will not be mixed in with all your other tasks. You will still have to click Toggle Subtasks because, when nested, subtasks are hidden until the toggle is switched.
Here is more on that, and subtasks in general: http://www.toodledo.com/info/subtasks.php ~Anders |

Hi,
Is it possible to have toggle subtasks as default (main) view? I know how subtasks works Anders, but like john said it would be fine to have this choice.. |

I completely agree that this is a much needed feature, and so do many, many others. See here:
https://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/1692/0/subtask-default-view.html And especially here: https://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/801/0/nesting-of-subtasks.html I was just explaining to john about the nesting vs. flattened behavior. ~Anders This message was edited May 30, 2009. |

Amen, John. Is there, or are there plans for, a setting which keeps your subtasks visible by default, all the time, across all folders? I use the feature a LOT and this inability is a real nuisance. Thank you!

This is definitely one of the more popular requests, and I am sure Toodledo recognizes that. If you use Firefox, there is a Greasemonkey script that has been posted to get the nested/toggled look by default. It is here: https://www.toodledo.com/forums/3/2304/0/greasemonkey-firefox-script-for-auto-show-subtasks.html
