Link to document on hard drive

I have documents on my laptop hard drive that I use for projects and need to access them regularly. Is there a way to create an actual link that I can click on to open the document right from the task title or comments? I know there's the capability for web addresses, but what about documents I have stored on my computer? Please help!!!

Sorry, this isn't possible. A website doesn't have a way to link to files stored on your computer. The best you can do is to use our "file attachment" subscriber feature to upload the files to Toodledo and attach them to tasks here. Then you would download the file whenever you want to access it.
