'x' weeks for stare/due dates?

In the new redesign, typing "x week(s)" for start or due date does not work. It results in no date. Is this the expected new behavior?
Also, the pop out date choosing interface goes away automatically very quickly.

On the new site, try typing "in 2 weeks". The new site needs you to be a little more specific because you can also now type "2 weeks ago" and it needs to be able to distinguish between the two.
