Force sync from chrome - question or bug?

While they system was offline over the weekend I made a number of updates to 30 or so tasks. Great feature to be able to edit while offline!
But now those update don't seem to be syncing back to toodledo.
I have tried the 'sync' menu item under the drop down menu on the top right, but no luck.
Anything I am missing or does this feature just not work?
