Basically I'm new to the iPhone, fiance bought it for me, so I'm migrating from my T-Mobile Dash to the iPhone. So far though what I don't see is the ability to sync my tasks between my outlook and the iPhone. I tried the web version, didn't work for me. So not looking for sales pitch or shinola, straight up here. Does the Toodledo app sync between the two or not?

Have you read : http://www.toodledo.com/info/help_outlook.php ? I think sync is not possible but a one time import is. |

There is a free syncing app developed by a 3rd party - http://www.toodledo.com/connect_outlook.php

That isn't what I'm looking for, I don't want to have to export/import every time I make a change, doesn't happen with other phones I've had. I've used the Dash for personal use and a Blackberry for work, both sync the contacts, mail, calender, and >>Tasks<<, that's what I'm looking for on the iPhone. So the question is does this app do it or not, not whether I can sorta maybe make it work by exporting and then importing and then this and then that and then..... Simple question. Does it in fact sync the Tasks back and forth from Outlook to iPhone and back again, yes or no? |

So I need a third program to make it work? What you're saying is Toodledo doesn't do it then? |

@schneyer - the answer is no. Toodledo does not provide any direct means to sync tasks with Outlook.
As mentioned above, there is a third-party utility (named Chromatic Dragon) that can sync Outlook tasks with Toodledo.com. Toodledo's iPhone app syncs with Toodledo.com so you can keep your iPhone and Outlook sychronised albeit via this free middleware. One other iPhone task management app that syncs with Outlook is Appigo Todo - they have their own sync utility (Appigo Sync) so if you have their iPhone app, you can sync with Outlook directly. Note that this is wifi based, not internet or cable-based so you are syncing with your own local copy of Outlook, not with Exchange. And Todo syncs with Toodledo. Find more info here: http://www.appigo.com/appigo-sync If you're looking to sync tasks from your iPhone to Exchange (as you can do with a Windows Mobile device) then not much exists to my knowledge. Guess it's because the iPhone is part of the Apple ecosystem. I'm a Windows user at home and work so faced a similar problem. However I never much cared for Outlook tasks so was happy to embrace an alternative. I simply use Appigo Todo synced with Toodledo.com. Outlook is still used for email and calendar. Apple never allowed 3rd party apps to sync with exchange but I believe it changed in iOS4.
