Hi,
I really like the cloning feature, I use it with the timer to note when progress has been made on a task, but it is not yet finished.
Is there a way to show if a task in an original or a clone?

I can tell, but only when they're in groups, like when a bunch of them in funny suits with big shoes are getting out of a very small car.

There is no distinction between an original or a clone. They are equal in every way, until you modify one of them.
