iPhone Tags default to hidden

When adding a Tag the default status is that it is filtered out of view. This seems counter intuitive to me (and I often forget). So, in practice, I use tags to create lists for individual people. When creating a new task then adding a new person (tag) to delegate the task to, currently, unless I happen to notice the legend or remember the task, the task has defaulted to hidden because there's no tick in the new tag's box and I risk missing it.
Doesn't make sense to me.

Are you talking about the tag filter? If you have the tag filter set to show only "tagA and tagB" and then you add a task with tagC, the tag filter will be unchanged and the task will be hidden. I think this is the correct behavior.
